STEP Overview
STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper) is an additional maths exam, taken at the end of Year 13, which forms part of conditional offers to applicants for maths and some related degrees at Cambridge and some other universities.
The University of Cambridge offers a fantastic free online STEP Support Programme to help university applicants develop their advanced mathematical problem-solving skills and prepare for STEP exams. This consists of online modules, along with hints and full solutions.
The Foundation modules in particular are a great resource for expanding your mathematical thinking and understanding, and developing your problem solving ability. If you are looking to study maths or a related subject at a higher level, I would highly recommend these modules even if you are not taking the STEP exam.
