Welcome to Tyler Tutoring

I am a professional Maths tutor working with students who are studying Maths and Further Maths at A Level, and supporting them as they prepare for university entrance exams, predominantly the TMUA, MAT and STEP exams.

The aim of this website is to provide access to the resources that I have developed to help students prepare for the TMUA, completely free of charge. There are some great free online resources to prepare for the STEP exam, and I wanted to offer something similar for the TMUA.  (However these will also be helpful if you are preparing to take the MAT.)

Over the last few years I have developed a series of worksheets that lead students through the key knowledge required for each topic in the specification, and introduce ‘TMUA style’ techniques. To supplement these I have compiled a set of multiple choice questions for each topic - these are based on questions from past papers from a variety of entrance exams (but I have changed all the TMUA questions slightly so they don’t duplicate the past papers).

Under the TMUA link above you will find some general advice and guidance about preparing for the exam, and also a menu of the TMUA topics. Each topic in this menu has its own page containing my thoughts on exam techniques, a copy of the official specification, and links to the relavant worksheet, multiple choice questions and solutions.

I have often used some other great resources which have been made freely available online, such as those on www.madasmaths.com  and so it gives me great pleasure to pay this forward and make my resources freely available too. I know that not everyone can afford tuition, and not all schools are able to offer any support, and so I hope that these resources will enable all students to prepare for these exams, and help them to do their best.

I hope to add resources to this site as and when I have time to develop them. Please do let me know if you have suggestions for worksheets on additional topics, or if you spot any mistakes.
